What Is It and Why Should I Be Interested?

How is FinditKitsap.com different from the on-line yellow pages? Answer: With FinditKitsap.com:

  • Advertising costs are a fraction.
  • Searches can be by city, region or the entire region.
  • You can list promotions and special offers and update them at any time. 
  • You select the business categories for your listing.
  • You can update your information 24/7.
  • Every listing can include details that differentiate your business.

How is FinditKitsap.com different from the telephone book?  Answer: With FinditKitsap.com:

  • Shoppers don't have to wrestle with books.
  • You select the business categories for your listing. 
  • Everything is in one place, not the 8-12 different phone books to cover this area.
  • Data is continuously updated, not printed just once a year.
  • Membership costs are the same, regardless of advertising message.
  • Membership costs are the same, regardless of number of listings.

I'm already listed in a Chamber of Commerce register. Why join the FinditKitsap.com Marketing CO-OP? Answer: Other registers are created for different purposes than FinditKitsap.com.

  • Chambers of Commerce, as well as  professional association registers, list only members.  For instance, there are eight Chamber of Commerce  registers in our region with a combined total of less than 3000 businesses. Yet, there are over 11,000 businesses in the region, and the only register that lists them is FinditKitsap.com.
  • Other shoppers' registers list only businesses that pay to be listed.  The largest of these registers has just a few hundred listings. Since very few shoppers even know of their existence, they represent a questionable place to invest advertising dollars. 

How will I know if anyone is seeing my information? Answer: Each time your information is displayed a system counter will record the event. Counters will be kept by month for two years. You may view the counters whenever you wish.

How Do I Use the Website?

If I want to be listed as a provider of a number of products or services, how does this work? Answer: As a member of the Marketing CO-OP, you may use key word specialties to describe various products and services you offer.  You will appear before non-members in each of those categories.  Non-members may not use key word specialties.  

What sort of information  can I put in my marketing display? Answer: You are trying to show the shopper why you value their business, so tell them why you are special. Your strongest way is to link to your web site if you have one, or use the "details" feature if you do not.  You can utilize key words to note all the areas where you do business.  You should tell them how long you have been in business, your credentials to do what you do, your licenses and memberships if they are important. You can use logos and pictures, and have a map for how to find your business. Be creative. We can help.

Must I show my email address to let shoppers contact me? I don't want to be hit with spam. Answer: FinditKitsap.com has a secure way for shoppers to email you without actually displaying your email address. 

What sort of promotions or special offers can I list? How many? Answer: You can list as many promotions or specials as you like.  You can change them any time you want. For example, you may enter several special coupons for a month, and change what is in them each week. You  might want to code the coupons so you know where the shopper found them. You can change the expiration date whenever you want.

What Is My Involvement?

How long do I need to agree to be a Member of the Marketing CO-OP? Answer: The minimum membership is for one month.

What if I don't have a web site yet? Answer: You don't need a web site to be a Member.

What if I don't have email? Answer: You need to have an e-mail address to be a Member.

How often do you bill? Answer: Monthly.
